Rear Lid, Adjusting, Striker Pin

Procedure 

-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Before adjusting, screw in the lid side adjusting buffer completely. Refer to REAR LID. ADJUSTING, STOP BUFFER .

The rear height can be adjusted by sliding the door striker.

NOTE:

Ignore the -arrow-.

-- Loosen the nuts -1 and 3-. The striker pin -2- must be movable.

-- Close the door and check the closing position.

-- If necessary adjust the closing position using the upper stop buffer.

-- The rear lid latch must be engaged in the main detent (second catch) during this.

-- Open the rear lid and tighten the nuts.

-- Remove the lower stop buffer just enough until the closed rear lid with stop buffer comes into contact with the stop on the body.

-- Check if the rear lid still closes easily, and if necessary, continue adjusting the stop buffer.

-- If the rear lid is difficult to close, tighten the stop buffer slightly.
