Hood, Adjusting, Side And Height Adjustment On Striker Pin

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Gauge - Gap Adjustment:3371 

• Gap dimensions. Refer to HOOD ADJUSTMENT DIMENSIONS .

Procedure 

Side Adjustment

-- Loosen the nuts -1 and 3-.

-- Move the striker pin -2-.

• Use the markings on the striker pin -4- and on the body -5- for the side adjustment.
• For the closing test, the hood must fall and engage completely in the latch from a balanced position.

-- Tighten the nuts to the tightening specification.

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - HOOD 

Height Adjustment:

-- Screw the stop buffer completely in. Refer to HOOD, ADJUSTING, STOP BUFFER .

-- Loosen the clip -2- by removing.

-- Adjust the striker pin -1- by turning the adjusting screw -3- in direction of -arrows-.

• For the closing test, the hood must fall and engage completely in the latch from a balanced position.

-- Adjust the height of the striker pin if necessary.

-- Push the clip back on the striker pin.
