Right Multifunction Buttons On Steering Wheel -E441- /Left Multifunction Buttons On Steering Wheel -E440-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Notes

Trim Removal Wedge:3409

NOTE:

Removing and installing the Right Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel -E441- / Left Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel -E440- is the same for all variants.

The multifunction buttons -2- are attached to the guide ring -1-. The guide ring -1- is attached to the steering wheel and engaged. The multifunction buttons -2- have an extra retainer -3-.

When removing, first make sure that after removing the bolts that the guide ring -1- can be loosened by hand approximately 5 mm. Then using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 open the retainers -3- on the multifunction buttons -2-. Then the guide ring -1- is removed with the multifunction buttons -2-.

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment and remove the ignition key.
