Lower Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

Transmission removed, refer to Transmission Park Selector Switch F305, Removing and Installing .
Engine oil is drained, appropriate FLUID CAPACITY information.

NOTE:

When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

-- Remove the upper coolant pipe, refer to UPPER COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the drive plate, refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left and right timing chain guards, refer to LEFT AND RIGHT TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the oil filter housing, refer to OIL FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the starter connector -3- by sliding the retainer back and pressing the release down.

-- Remove the electrical wire nut -2- and starter.

NOTE:

Ignore items -1 and 4-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts -1 through 10- in a diagonal sequence.

-- Carefully loosen the lower timing chain cover from the bond and remove it.

-- Press the transmission side of the crankshaft shaft seal out of the lower timing chain cover.
