Sunroof Seals, Removing And Installing

CAUTION:

It is necessary to program the mechanical components or control modules on the sliding/tilting sunroof after removing and installing them using Guided Functions in Guided Fault Finding at diagnostic address 09 with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Remove the Upper Seal

-- The glass panel is removed.

Upper Seal

-- Remove the seal -1- around the sealing channel upward.

Install the Upper Seal

Place the seal with the lips -arrow- pointing outwards on the sealing channel.

-- Align the seal with the butt joint -arrow- behind the vehicle center and push in the sealing channel.

-- Push the seal around the sealing channel.

Do not stretch the seal because otherwise it cannot be fully pressed in the sealing channel.

Panel Seal, Replacing

-- Open the glass panel.

-- Remove the rear panel seal -1- from the sealing channel.

Installing

NOTE:

For an easier installation, spray the seal with soapy water, for example.

-- Place the seal -1- on both sides in the panel.

-- Push the seal -1- as shown in the cut out in the sealing channel.

-- Push the seal -1- from both sides to the middle completely in the sealing channel.
