Glass Panel, Removing And Installing
It is necessary to program the mechanical components or control modules on the sliding/tilting sunroof after removing and installing them using Guided Functions in Guided Fault Finding at diagnostic address 09 with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- To complete the procedure, a second technician is required to be at the following position. Refer to "With a second technician, lift the cover from the slotted guide rail guides." GLASS PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING - With a second technician, lift the cover from the slotted guide rail guides. .

- Use the markings -arrow- for the rear height adjustment. Refer to GLASS PANEL, ADJUSTING .
- Perform the adaptation after installing

Glass Panel, Removing
-- Open the cover approximately 150 mm rearward.
-- Remove the left and right bolts from the back of the cover -arrow-.
-- With a suitable material (cloth rag, paper etc.) close the opening between the A-pillar and the sunroof frame, that way if necessary bolts do not fall in the vehicle.
-- Remove the front bolt -arrow- from the cover on the left and right.
-- Only loosen the bolt in the center of the cover -arrow-.
-- With a second technician, lift the cover from the slotted guide rail guides.
To prevent damage to the slotted guide rails after removing the cover always drive the slotted guide rails in the >>roof closed<< position.
Drive the slotted guide rails -1- into the >>roof closed<< position.
Installing
-- Open the slotted guide rail guides approximately 150 mm rearward.
-- With a second technician, place the cover on the slotted guide rail guides -1-.
-- Place the cover frame with the opening -arrow- over the loosened bolts.
Follow installation sequence.
-- Tighten the bolts first in the front then the rear, and finally in the center.
-- Close the cover and check the position to the roof.
-- If necessary open and adjust the cover.
-- Tighten the bolts to the tightening specification.
