Impact Member, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Manual Trailer Hitch: Removing
-- Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
A3 and Sportback:
-- Vehicles with a gasoline engine: remove the EVAP canister. Refer to EVAP CANISTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and press the wheel housing liner -1- slightly to the side.
Continuation for All:
-- Free up the wiring harness -2-.
-- Loosen the bolt connection -arrow- on the connector mount -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the impact member -1- with a second technician.
