Sliding Sunroof Front Trim, Removing And Installing: Removing
It is necessary to program the mechanical components or control modules on the sliding/tilting sunroof after removing and installing them using Guided Functions in Guided Fault Finding at diagnostic address 09 with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
It is not possible to remove without damaging it.
-- Use tape to protect the surfaces of the body that touch the sliding/tilting sunroof from paint damage.
-- Starting at the distance -a- = 10 mm from the inner edge, apply a mark over the entire length of the trim.
-- Do the same with markings with the distance -b- = 10 mm from the front edge and with the distance -c- = 10 mm from the rear edge outward.
-- Cut off the trim using the : VAG1561A and the : VAG1561/26 along the markings from the back to the front. Apply a stop depth and set it to a 5 mm depth.
-- Do the same with the markings across from the trim cut off a strip on the front and rear edge.
-- The adhesive beads for the trim are now accessible by removing the edges on the trim.
-- Using the : VAG1561A and the : VAG1561/22 cut through the adhesive on both sides.
-- Do the same with both adhesive beads on the front trim.
-- Cut through the central bead on the trim using a cutting wire and two pull handles, and remove the trim sealant.
