Sliding Sunroof Front Trim, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes

• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
• Only cut back adhesive surface just before installation.
• Do not prime or use a cleaning solution on the adhesive surface.
• The insulation must take place with the sliding/tilting sunroof closed.

-- Cut back the adhesive residue from the sliding/tilting sunroof just before installing.

-- With a fine sandpaper (for example from the painting process) lightly roughen the adhesive surface.

-- Clean the front trim adhesion surface using Cleaning Solution:D 009 401 04  .

-- Prime in the area of the adhesive bead -arrows- using the Glass/Paint Primer:D 009 200 02  and let dry for 10 minutes.

-- Apply the Assembly Adhesive:D 190 MKD A3  -arrows- on the Glass/Paint Primer.

-- Do not apply adhesive in the front area left and right on the trim with the dimension -a- = 10 cm.

1. Adhesive Bead
2. Glass/Paint Primer
3. Sliding/Tilting Sunroof Trim

• Dimension -a- = 8 mm
• Dimension -b- = 12 mm
• Dimension -c- = determined by the impressions in the trim

-- Place the trim in the roof opening, after pressing the sliding/tilting sunroof in flush and securing with adhesive tape.
