Seat Pan Frame, Replacing, Manual Front Seat: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

CAUTION:

Move the front seat to the highest possible position. This reduces the spring force when removing and installing the seat height adjuster.

-- Move the front seat all the way forward and raise it as high as possible. Then lower it one stroke.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat pan cover and cushion. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Remove the wiring and components and install in the new seat pan.

-- If equipped: remove the bolt -1- and unclip the seat position sensor -2- from the seat pan lower frame -3- and release -arrow-.

-- Remove the front seat belt latch. Refer to FRONT SEAT BELT LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat height adjuster. Refer to SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipment level with storage compartment: remove the storage compartment. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat angle adjustment, Sport seats/Super Sport seat. Refer to SEAT ANGLE ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Seat depth adjuster, Sport seat/Super Sport seat. Refer to SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the wiring harness and individual wires from the seat pan.
