Seat Height Adjuster, Removing And Installing: Removing

CAUTION:

There is a risk of destroying the seat height adjustment handle if removed improperly.

Remove the seat height adjustment handle -1- as described, do not drive it off the lever -2-.
A seat height adjustment handle with a damaged tab -arrow- must be replaced.

-- Pull the seat height adjustment handle -1- slightly upward and hold in this position.

-- Remove the seat height adjustment handle as far as possible from the front seat.

-- Guide the :3438 between the seat height adjustment handle and seat side trim -2-.

-- Release the tab -3- with the :3438 and at the same time remove the seat height adjustment handle in the direction of the -arrow- from the lever.

CAUTION:

Move the front seat to the highest possible position. This reduces the spring force when removing and installing the seat height adjuster.

-- Move the front seat all the way rearward and raise it as high as possible. Then lower it one stroke.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Remove the lever -1- for the seat height adjustment handle.

-- Remove the locking washer -1- with a screwdriver.

NOTE:

The bolts -1- and the bolt -3- are different lengths.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 3-.

-- Loosen the seat height adjustment -2- from the seat pan and remove.
