Sill Panel Trim, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- The vehicle and the trim must be at room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
- If the Bonding Agent: D 355 205 A2 dries longer than 3 hours, then it must be primed again.
-- Completely remove any adhesive residue.
-- Clean the adhesive surface on the body with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 .
-- Mark the dimension -a- from the grommet -5- to the side sill in the door seal extension, with a washable marker.
- Dimension -a- = 91 mm.
-- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape -4-.
-- Align the sill panel -2- with the longest edge between the radius -3- on the side sill and door seal -1- and position -arrows-.
-- Push the sill panel trim along the entire length with the roller : 3356 on the side sill.
- Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
- It is durable after at least 24 hours.
