Side Air Intake Trim, Removing And Installing, RS3 Sedan, RS3 SPORTBACK From My 2019: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Clean the adhesive surface on the bumper cover with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04  .

• The bumper cover and the side air intake trim must be room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

-- Using the applicator -3-, apply the Bonding Agent: D355 205 A2  -1- evenly in one stroke on the adhesive surface -2-.

-- Clean the bonding agent treated area with a clean disposable paper towel and let dry for 10 minutes.

• If the Bonding Agent: D 355 205 A2  dries longer than 3 hours, then it must be primed again.

-- Remove the protective films -2 and 3- and press the mount -1- on along the entire length of the bumper cover.

• Vehicle resting time is at least 2 hours at room temperature.

-- Slide the clips all the way onto the tabs while making sure the tabs do not break off.
