Overview - TV System

The TV system (QV1) is part of the MMI Infotainment system.

TV Tuner -R78- is connected via the MOST-Bus to the other components of the Infotainment system. It is operated via the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

Fault Finding is performed using the "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Repairing antenna wires. Refer to ANTENNA WIRES, REPAIRING .

1. Front Information Display Control Head -J685- in Center of the Instrument Panel
2. Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- in the Glove Compartment
3. MOST Bus
4. Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- under the Left Front Seat
5. TV Tuner -R78- behind the right luggage compartment trim panel (3-door and 5-door vehicles, Sedan) / behind the right rear side trim panel (Cabriolet)
6. Antenna amplifier on the rear lid (3- and 5-door vehicles) / on the D-pillars (Sedan) / on the A-pillars and on the left frame (Convertible)
7. External Multimedia Device Connection in Center Console Storage Compartment
