Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to COOLANT PUMP/COOLANT THERMOSTAT .

-- Loosen the bolts -1 through 4-, and remove the coolant pump from the Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493-.

NOTE: For the coolant pump tightening and loosening sequence is the same, -1 to 4-.

-- Remove the toothed belt from the coolant pump.

NOTE:

If the coolant pump cannot be removed as described remove the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-. Refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
