Upper Toothed Belt Guard, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions when working on the fuel supply system. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Disconnect the fuel lines -1 and 2-, to do this push the hose coupling down in direction of -arrow A- then press the release buttons in direction of -arrow B-.
-- Remove the hose coupling with the release buttons pressed.
-- Free up the bracket -3- with the fuel hoses.
-- Remove the nut -2- and the bolts -1-.
-- Set the fuel filter -4- aside.
Vehicles with a Differential Pressure Line:
-- Remove the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- -B- with a tool from the :T10395A .
Vehicles with Engine Codes CRUA, DEJA and DEJB:
-- Remove bolts -1- on coolant lines bracket.
-- Remove the connector -4- from the mount, disconnect, and free up the wires.
-- Loosen the hose clamp -1-.
-- Free up the coolant line -3- and the SCR lines -2-.
-- Remove the Reducing Agent Injector -N474- and lay it to the right side.
-- Open the heat protection sleeve -1-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- and free up the wire.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
Additional Steps for Vehicles with Two Differential Pressure Lines:
-- Disconnect the connector -5- for Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1 -G235-.
-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -arrow- and free it up.
-- Remove the bolt -3-.
-- Loosen the clamps -1- and remove the hoses.
-- Free up pipes -2-.
Vehicles with a Differential Pressure Line:
-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.
-- Open the hose clamp -A-, remove the hose and unclip the pipes -B-.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Lay the bracket with the differential pressure sensor(s) to the rear.
-- Release the retainers -arrows-, and remove the upper toothed belt guard -1-.
