Overview - Cylinder Head Cover: Notes

- Cylinder Head Cover
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-ring
- Always replace after removing.
- Plugs
- Bracket
- For wires
- Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Grommet
- In the cylinder head cover
- Tensioning Claw
- Bolt
- Tightening specification. Refer to -item 8- OVERVIEW - FUEL INJECTORS .
- O-ring
- Always replace after removing.
- Hose
- For the crankcase ventilation
- For removal, press the release button
Note for USA vehicles:
- Risk of violating emissions legislation on USA vehicles.
- Do not open the crankcase ventilation hose connection. Only the other side of the hose connection may be opened.
- It is not possible to remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover without damaging it.
- Fuel Return Line
- O-ring
- Always replace after removing.
- Fuel Injector
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

- Always replace after removing.
- Heat Protection Seal
- Always replace after removing.
- Seal
- For the fuel injector
- Replacing. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SEALS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Vacuum Hose
- The connection can break when the vacuum hoses are removed.
- To loosen the vacuum hoses tilt a screwdriver between the hose and the cover. The force of the screwdriver loosens the hose from the connection.

- Bolt
- Always replace if the seal is damaged
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER, TIGHTENING SPECIFICATION AND SEQUENCE .
