Camshaft Housing, Removing And Installing: Removing

• Cylinder head installed.

-- Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFT .

-- Remove the cylinder head cover. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the high pressure reservoir (Rail). Refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (FUEL RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and press the fuel lines forward.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Camshaft Position Sensor -G40-.

-- If equipped disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Remove the bolts -2, and 3-, and pivot the coolant line to the side.

-- Seal off all open lines and connections with clean blind plugs.

-- Remove the bolt -1- with the :T10501  and loosen the bolt -2-.

-- Open the clamp -1- and position on the emissions control module entrance funnel.

-- Loosen the bolts -2- and remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Push the emissions control module slightly backward.

-- Loosen the camshaft housing bolts in the following sequence: -18 to 1-  .

-- Remove the bolts and carefully remove the camshaft housing from the bonding and remove.
