Crankshaft Needle Bearing, Replacing: Notes

Only for vehicles equipped with a DSG transmission

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

NOTE:

Vehicles with a manual transmission do not have a needle bearing inside the crankshaft.

Vehicles with a dual-clutch transmission must have a needle bearing inside the crankshaft. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

Check the needle bearing for damage and if necessary replace the needle bearing.
