Instrument Cluster With Instrument Cluster Control Module -J285-, Removing And Installing, Low Instrument Cluster: Removing
-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Vehicle equipment version with mechanical ignition switch: Remove the key.
-- Vehicle equipment version with electronic ignition switch: Remove the key from the vehicle.
-- Remove the upper steering column trim panel. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS AND COVERS .
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Pull the instrument cluster -1- out just far enough until it is touching the steering wheel.
-- Disconnect the connector.
-- Press the retaining tab -1- to disconnect the connector, turn the retaining bracket in the direction of -arrow- and remove the connector.
-- Remove the instrument cluster between the steering wheel and the instrument panel.
