For information on using the tester. Refer to the Operating Instructions.
-- Have a second technician operate the starter until the test stops showing an increase in pressure.
-- Operate starter until the tester shows no further pressure increase.
Compression Pressure
| New Positive Pressure in Bar (psi) | Wear Limit Positive Pressure in Bar (psi) | Difference Between Cylinders Positive Pressure in Bar (psi) |
|---|---|---|
| 11.0 to 14.0 (159.5 to 203) | 7.0 (101.5) | Maximum 3.0 (43.5 psi) |
-- Install the spark plugs.
-- Install the ignition coils with power output stages. Refer to IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
By separating the connections, DTCs are stored to memory. After the test, check the DTC memory and erase, if necessary.
-- The faults were stored in the engine control module DTC memories Generate Readiness Code in Guided Functions using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester because the connectors were disconnected and the engine was started.
