Engine, Supporting In Installed Position

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Engine Support Bridge: 10-222A
Engine Support Bridge - Special Hook (2 pc.): 10-222A/20
Pry Lever: 80-200
Lifting Eyebolt: 3368
: T40093/6 from the Engine Support - Supplement Kit: T40093A
M10 collar nut or nut with washer

Procedure

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the left and right sealing piece -1- using the :80-200 .

-- Position the :10-222A with the :10-222A/11 on the longitudinal member for the upper wheel housing as shown.

-- Attach the left spindle carabiner hook to the engine lifting eye.

WARNING:

Risk of accident if the threaded connection is loose.

Tightening the collar nut (or the nut and washer) -arrow- at least 6 turns will make sure the Lifting Eyebolt: 3368 is secure.

-- Secure the :3368 to the engine support with an M10 collar nut or an M10 nut and washer as illustrated.

-- Engage the :10-222A/11 with the right :10-222A/20 on the : 3368 .

-- Pretension the engine/transmission assembly with both spindles, but do not lift it.
