Upper Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• Replace the O-ring after removing.

-- Coat the O-ring with engine oil.

-- Install the upper timing chain cover using the : VAG1783  and : VAG1783/1  . Refer to Figure for the correct tightening sequence.

-- Install the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
