1. Heat Shield
   • for the center bearing driveshaft
2. combi bolt
   • 25 Nm
   • for the center bearing driveshaft and the heat shield at the body
3. Flange nut
   • 8 Nm
   • for the heat shield at the bevel box
4. Locking Ring
   • always replace. Refer to Fig 2
   • Insert in the rear groove for the output shaft/shaft bevel gear for the bevel box
5. O-Ring
   • Always replace.
   • Insert in the front groove for the output shaft/shaft bevel gear for the bevel box
6. Transmission with Bevel Gear
   • Lubricate the splines on the output shaft/shaft bevel gear with Grease for Clutch Disc Shaft Splines: G 000 100  .
7. Heat Shield
   • for the bevel box and the driveshaft
     NOTE:

     The heat shield can be removed and installed only after the front exhaust pipe is removed.

8. Bolt
   • 8 Nm
   • for the heat shield at the transmission support
9. Lock Washer
10. Intermediate bearing
    • Align free of tension
11. Driveshaft
    • The steering/center bearing cannot be disconnected
    • Removing and installing. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A1 QUATTRO .
12. Bolt
    • 60 Nm
    • quantity: 3
    • for the flexible disc/driveshaft at the rear final drive
13. Rear Final Drive
    • Removing and installing. Refer to REAR FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A1 QUATTRO .

• The locking ring must always be replaced after removing the driveshaft.

-- Remove the old locking ring -B- from the groove for the output shaft/shaft bevel gear with the new locking ring -A-.
