Right Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Drain the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the vacuum pump, refer to [[Editorial:Find destination]] .

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the coolant pipe.

  • Do not bend the coolant pipe.

-- Remove the rear upper coolant pipe from the right cover for the timing chain guard in direction of -arrow- and set it aside.

NOTE:

The catalytic converter and the turbocharger support are removed to improve the clarity of the illustration.

Ignore item -2-.

-- Open the clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and move the mount -3- and wiring harness to the side.

-- Remove the bolts in the following sequence: -8 to 1-.

-- Carefully remove the right cover for the timing chain from the bond.
