Brake Caliper With Brake Carrier, Removing And Installing : Installing
Use new screws -12-.
-- Carefully press the brake caliper with the brake carrier and the installed brake pads over the brake rotor.
-- Install the brake carrier -11- with new bolts -12-.
Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle.
-- Install all electric wires into the bracket on the stub axle carrier.
-- Connect the connector -2- for the brake pad wear display wire.
-- Install the wheels.
-- Lower the vehicle.
Wheel bolt tightening specifications. Refer to Wheels, Tires, Wheel Alignment .
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to the vehicle data link connector with the ignition switched off.
Switch the ignition on.
The parking brake is released.
Coding check and reported if necessary.
DTC memory interrogated, errors shown corrected and DTC memory erased.
-- Start the program in Guided Functions.
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
After installing, press the brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.
Check brake fluid level, and fill if necessary.
