Rear Brake Rotor, Removing And Installing : Removing

-- If the same brake rotor is reinstalled with used brake pads, remove the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- If the brake pads and rotor are being replaced, remove the brake pads. Refer to REAR BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
Danger of causing damage to the ceramic brake rotor.
- Do not drop the brake rotor.
- Do not remove the brake rotor from the hub with a hammer.
- Do not loosen the brake rotor from the hub by prying.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the brake rotor by hand. Do not use any tools.
If the brake rotor is seized, do the following:
-- Install two M8 bolts -arrows- all the way into the threaded holes of the brake rotor.
-- Turn the bolts a 1 /2 turn further from side to side to loosen the brake rotor from the wheel hub.
