Front Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing: Removing

Remove the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER WITH BRAKE CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Use compressed air to push the piston out of the brake caliper housing.

NOTE:

Place a wooden board into the recess of the caliper housing so it is not damaged.

-- Remove protective cap from brake caliper, for example with trim removal wedge 3409.

-- Remove the seal.

-- Use trim removal wedge 3409 -2- for this.

NOTE:

When removing make sure that the surface of the cylinder is not damaged.
