Rear Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench 1331 5-50NmVAG1331
- Piston Resetting ToolT10145
- Trim removal Wedge 3409
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
- The brake caliper is removed.
- Refer to REAR BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to the vehicle data link connector with the ignition switched off.
NOTE:
Switch the ignition on.
The parking brake is released.
Coding check and reported if necessary.
DTC memory interrogated, errors shown corrected and DTC memory erased.
-- Start the program in Guided Functions.
-- Raise the vehicle.
Refer to REAR BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
-- Disconnect the brake line.
-- Remove the brake caliper from the vehicle.
