Brake Fluid Reservoir, Removing And Installing: Installing

WARNING:

When working with brake fluid, observe relevant safety precautions and notes. Refer to BRAKE FLUID .

Remove the protective cap on the new brake fluid reservoir just before filling it.

-- Coat the plugs on the brake fluid reservoir with brake fluid.

-- Insert the brake fluid reservoir in the sealing plugs in the brake master cylinder.

-- Slide the securing pin -3- through the brake fluid reservoir and brake master cylinder.

NOTE:

Make sure the securing pin is seated correctly. The angle must sit in the mount on the brake fluid reservoir.

Vehicles with a clutch:

-- Remove the Hose Clamps up to 25 mm Diameter3094 from the clutch master cylinder supply hose.

-- Attach the clutch master cylinder supply hose to the brake fluid reservoir.

For all vehicles:

-- Install the cap for the brake fluid reservoir.

NOTE:

The cap over the brake fluid reservoir is installed only on certain models.

-- Install the tower brace -1- with the bolts -2 through 4 -.

-- Connect the connector on the Brake Fluid Level Warning Switch -F34-.

-- Fill the brake fluid reservoir up to the "MAX" mark.

NOTE:

Do not add more brake fluid above the "MAX" mark -1- otherwise it will leak out of the reservoir.

-- Install plenum chamber cover.

-- Refer to BRAKE SYSTEM, BLEEDING 

CAUTION:

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
