Adjusting using the End Plate

-- Remove the rear lid end trim panel. Refer to Luggage Compartment Trim Panels .

NOTE:

Before adjusting, install the adjusting buffer on the rear lid side completely. Refer to Figure.

The rear height can be adjusted by sliding the end plate -2-.

-- Tighten the nuts -2- hand-tight.

-- Close the rear lid and check the position.

-- The rear lid lock must be engaged in the main detent (2nd lug) during this.

-- Open the rear lid -1- and adjust the end plate if necessary.

-- Tighten the nuts to the tightening specification, refer to -item  7-.

-- Turn adjusting buffer -arrow- until closed rear lid with stop buffer on rear lid side makes contact with stop.

-- Check whether rear lid still closes easily, repeat adjustment at adjusting buffer if necessary.

-- If rear lid is difficult to close, tighten the adjusting buffer slightly.
