Rear Lid Seal, Removing And Installing

Removing

-- Remove the wiring harness from the rear lid.

-- Remove the coupling rod cover. Refer to COUPLING ROD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disengage the upper push rod from the rear lid, refer to Coupling Rod, Removing .

-- Remove the seal from the body flange and over the coupling rod and remove the wiring harness.

-- Do the same on the opposite side of the rear lid.

Install in reverse sequence.
- When installing, align the seal with the joint -arrow- with the marking in the center of the vehicle.
- Beginning at the seam, press the seal all around onto the body flange.
