Spindle Motor

- Protective Sleeve
-- Use the Window Cutter VAG 1561A and Window Cutter - Saw Blade - 83 mm VAG 1561/26 to cut the protective sleeve open on both sides and remove.
- Gas-Filled Strut with Spindle Motor
- Remove both protective seals.
- Prismatic Jaw ViseWARNING: The pressure spring should be inserted into a prismatic jaw vise before being cut through with a Single Hand Angle Grinder VAS 5167 as shown in the magnified section of the graphic.
-- Use a Single Hand Angle Grinder VAS 5167 with a partition window to cut through the compression spring in at least 3 places lengthwise.
-- Turn the spring coils clockwise and inward after each separating cut.
-- Turn all of the spring coils inward, until the total tension has been reduced to zero.
-- The gas-filled strut may now be disposed of.
- Angle Sander
- Clamp the separation cut in the single hand angle grinder.
