Gear Oil, Draining And Filling, Transfer Case, Transmission With Separated Oil System: Draining

The engine is off.
Move the vehicle onto a 4-column workshop hoist or over a work pit so it is completely level.
Transmission in "P".
The parking brake button should be activated to close the electro-mechanical parking brake.

GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

Follow the disposal requirements.

Replace the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) drain plug and seal.

Replace the plug for the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) check and fill hole.

-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit SMN 372500 under the transmission.

WARNING:

Danger of eye injury.

Wear protective eyewear.

-- Remove the drain plug -arrow B- and drain the transmission fluid.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the transmission.

Do not start the engine when there is no Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) in the transfer case.

-- Tighten the new drain plug -arrow B-.
