Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Level, Checking, Transmission With Combined Oil System: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Audi A7 Quattro, 2014 Audi A7 Quattro, 2013 Audi A7, and 2012 Audi A7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  • Risk of damaging transfer case and the front axle differential through incorrect oil level.
  • Depending on the version there are transmissions with separate or combined oil systems.
  • For vehicles with combined oil systems the steps for it must be followed, because the oil level from the transfer case and the front axle differential are dependent on one another.
  • They are differentiated only by the transmission code. Refer to TRANSMISSION/ENGINE ALLOCATION .
