Right Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear noise insulation -2-. Refer to Noise Insulation .

-- Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Wheels, Tires, Wheel Alignment .

-- Remove the right driveshaft cover -1- in the wheel housing. Refer to Noise Insulation .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right heat shield -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the heat shield from the right driveshaft.

-- Remove the right driveshaft from the transmission flange shaft and move it back. Refer to Drive Axle .

-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit SMN 372500 under the transmission.

-- Install the threaded eye from the Vibration Damper Tool 3419 into the threaded hole in the right flange shaft with 2 M10 nuts -1-.

-- Position the Slide Hammer Set VW 771 with the VW 771/13 on the threaded eye and remove the flange shaft.
