Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing, Vehicles Through MY 2014: Removing

-- Remove the outer tail lamps. Refer to OUTER TAIL LAMPS .

-- Remove the cover in the luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Vehicles with a trailer hitch: Remove the cable mount. The cable remains installed in the mount. Refer to CABLE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, cut the cable tie and disconnect the connector -1- from the Parking Aid Control Module -J446- and free up the wiring harness on the bracket for the control module -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2 and 4-, if equipped.

-- Press the grommet -3- outward.

-- Remove the nut -1- with Body Socket T40078.

-- Remove the screws -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -1, 2 and 3- on the bumper cover side pieces.

-- Move the wheel housing liner slightly to the side and remove the bolt -4-.

-- Insert the Hook Tool T40207 into the opening and pull the locking rail -5- upward to unlock it.

-- Disengage the side pieces on the side panel.

-- Remove the bumper cover -6-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- on the exhaust door control unit, if equipped.

-- Guide the wiring harness out through the opening in the body, if equipped.

-- Lay the bumper cover on a soft surface.
