Socket Illumination Bulb, 12 V Socket 2

Release Tool T40148

Removal

-- The release tabs -2- on the release tool T40148 must engage in the openings in the 12V socket -3- -arrow- and the threaded pin -1- must slide down as far as the stop.

-- Open the cover -1- on the 12 V socket and hold it in this position.

-- Slide the T40148 as far as the stop into the 12V socket -3-.

-- Rotate the thumb-wheel -2- on the T40148 clockwise as far as the stop.

The piston -2- is pulled upward and the release tabs -1- on the T40148 spread -arrows-.

-- Remove the 12V socket from the illumination ring with the Rear cigarette lighter illumination bulb -L32- using the T40148.

-- Open the clips -arrows-.

-- Remove the 12 V socket and illumination ring -1- from the trim -2-.

-- Guide the electric wire through the mount -arrow- and disconnect it.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-- Remove the support -1- on the T40148.

-- Slide the piston down and hold it in place.

-- Rotate the thumb-wheel -4- on the T40148 counterclockwise -arrow-. This loosens the release tabs -2- on the 12V socket -3- so the T40148 can be removed.
