Radiator, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the front noise insulation, refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front bumper cover, refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front charge air cooling circuit radiator, refer to REMOVING .
-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray VAS 6208 under engine.
-- Remove the drain plug -1- and drain the coolant.
-- Lift the clip -2- and disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.
-- Open the clamp -arrow- and remove the connection from the radiator.
There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.
- Disconnect the connectors before working near the fan shroud.
-- Disconnect the coolant fan connectors -1- and -2-, to do this, push the clamp to the rear in direction of -arrow- and push the release down.
-- Open the clamps -1- and -2- and remove the connection from the radiator.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the air guide -1-.
-- Release the retaining tabs in direction of -arrows A- and remove the left and right air ducts -1- upward in direction of -arrow B-.
-- Release the left and right radiator retaining pins and remove by pulling upward in direction of -arrows-.
-- Have a second technician release the retaining clamps -1- in direction of -arrow A- and remove the condenser -2- upward out of the mounts on the radiator in direction of -arrows B-.
There is a risk of damaging the condenser and refrigerant lines and hoses.
- Do not stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.
-- Tip the condenser with the lines connected forward.
-- Remove the radiator.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -1- and remove the radiator console with the radiator from the lock carrier -arrow-.
-- Lower the radiator slightly.
-- Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same time in direction of -arrow- and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator.
