Reducing Agent Tank, Draining

Procedure

WARNING:

The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.

Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.

  • To prevent large amounts of reducing agent from leaking out when opening the metering line, wait for the recirculation process to complete, refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Remove cover -2- from the reducing agent filler tube

NOTE:

Ignore item -1-.

-- Remove bolts and nuts -arrow-, and remove the tank cover -1-.

-- Place the drip tray underneath.

NOTE:

To catch escaping reducing agent place a clean cloth under the separation point.

-- Remove cap -arrow-, by pressing the release button, drain the reducing agent into the drip tray, and remount the cap.

After Filling, the Following Steps Must Be Performed.

-- Adapting adaptation value after draining reducing agent or replacing components, refer to SCR-SYSTEM ADAPTATION VALUE, ADAPTING .
