Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With A Turbocharger: Removing

When working on the whole exhaust system:

NOTE:

When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

When removing the wire do not cut it, in this case a fault diagnosis will no longer be possible.

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- Version 1

-- Remove the connector -1- from the bracket and disconnect it.

-- Remove the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- -2-.

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- Version 2:

-- Remove the connector -3- from the bracket and disconnect it.

-- Remove the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- -1- with a tool from the Diesel Engine Tool Set - 17 mm T10395A.

NOTE:

Vehicles where bracket -5- is installed, remove nut -4- and remove the bracket.

Route the lines, as show in the illustration.

Connect cable tie -2- as show in the illustration.
