Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With A Turbocharger: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may not be used again.

Coat the thread with hot bolt paste

After installing, check that the whole length of the wires for the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- have a distance of at least 20 mm from the catalytic converter.

NOTE:

Vehicles where bracket -5- is installed, remove nut -4- and remove the bracket.

Route the lines, as show in the illustration.

Connect cable tie -2- as show in the illustration.
