1. Double pipe
   • Original equipment as one unit with rear mufflers.
   • The double pipe and the rear muffler can be replaced individually if a repair is required.
   • Separating point between double pipe and rear muffler, refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
   • Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
2. Bolt
   • 23 Nm
3. Suspended Mount
   • Replace if damaged.
4. Bolt
   • 23 Nm
5. Suspended Mount
   • Replace if damaged.
6. Nut
   • Replace
   • 23 Nm
7. Seal
   • Replace
8. Catalytic Converter
   • Individual components of suspension Fig 3
   • Removing and installing, refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH TWO TURBOCHARGERS .
9. Nut
   • Replace
   • Coat the thread with hot bolt paste
   • 23 Nm
10. Seal
    • Replace
11. turbocharger assembly
12. Front Exhaust Pipe
    • With decoupling element, decoupling element must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it may be damaged
    • Protect from shocks and impact stress
    • Removing and installing, refer to EXHAUST PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH TWO TURBOCHARGERS. .
    • Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
13. Nut
    • Replace
    • 23 Nm
14. Seal
    • Replace
15. Particulate Filter
    • Removing and installing, refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH TWO TURBOCHARGERS. .
    • After replacing, perform an Adaptation  in Guided Functions  .
16. Nut
    • 23 Nm
17. Front clamping sleeves
    • Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
    • Installed position Fig 2
    • Tighten threaded connections evenly.
18. Nut
    • 23 Nm
19. Trim
    • For the tail pipe
    • Push all the way onto the tail pipe
20. Suspended Mount
    • Replace if damaged.
    • Check pretension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
21. Nut
    • 23 Nm
22. Rear Muffler
    • Right with Engine Sound Generator Actuator 1 -R257-
    • Left with Engine Sound Generator Actuator 2 -R258-
    • Original equipment as one unit with double pipe.
    • The double pipe and the rear muffler can be replaced individually if a repair is required.
    • Separating point between double pipe and rear muffler, refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
    • Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
23. Rear Clamping Sleeve
    • For individual replacement of double pipes and rear mufflers
    • Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
    • Installed position Figure
    • Tighten threaded connections evenly.
24. Nut
    • 23 Nm

-- Install double clamps so that the bolt ends do not project over lower edge of double clamp.

• Installed position: the threaded connectors face outward.
