Rear Lid Seal Mount, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Disconnect the connectors -2, 4, 5 and 6- and the antenna connector -7-.

-- Remove the nuts -8- and bolts -1 and 3-.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the rear lid.

The gas-filled struts for the rear lid will not be loaded enough when the mount is removed. The rear lid will open in a jerking motion.

-- Secure the rear lid with hook -1- so that it cannot open unintentionally.

-- Remove the mount -2- from the rear lid -3- and lay it down on a soft surface.

-- If the mount is being replaced:

Remove the inner tail lamps. Refer to [For engine(s) CTUA,CEUC,CRDB,CGXB,CPNB] Removal and Installation .
Remove the license plate lamps. Refer to [For engine(s) CTUA,CEUC,CRDB,CGXB,CPNB] Removal and Installation .
Remove the Rear Lid Lock Cylinder Unlock Button -F248-
