Checking Wear Pattern

NOTE:

For safety reasons, all tires on the vehicle should be of the same make and tread design.

On AWD vehicles, always use tires of the same make and tread design. If not, the center differential can get damaged.

-- Determining tire weather pattern on the front wheels. Not the following points when doing this:

Feathered edges of the treads may indicate faulty toe adjustment.
One-sided tread wear is mostly caused by faulty camber.

NOTE: If signs of wear are found: Ascertain the cause by performing an axle alignment (repair procedure).
