Cleaning The Plenum Chamber And Water Drain Grommets

NOTE: Deposits in the plenum chamber such as leaves or pine needles can collect in the water drains and prevent water from draining out of the plenum chamber. This can cause the water level in the plenum chamber to increase (for example, in car washes and heavy rain). The water enter the vehicle interior through the grommets or the fresh air intake housing.
NOTE: The cleaning is a repair procedure and should be charged separately.

-- Remove any heavy debris inside the plenum chamber and in the water drain grommets -A- with a flexible grip tool.

-- Fine deposits can be removed using a thin water hose or a pressure cup spray gun VAG 1538 and a flexible nylon tube VAG 1538/2.
