8-Cylinder Gasoline Engines

-- Warm engine oil temperature at 194°F (90°C).

-- Let engine run at idle for at least 1 minute.

-- Turn off the engine and wait approximately 5 minutes (the oil returns slowly to the cylinder head).

-- Check the oil level inside of 1 minute.

NOTE: Use the either the MMI or the Engine Oil Gauge Tester T40178 to check the engine oil level.
