Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

WARNING:

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure.

-- Remove the cap -arrow- from the coolant reservoir.

-- Remove the front left wheel spoiler, refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

Audi S6/S7:

-- Loosen the front left wheel housing liner in the front, refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Disconnect the coolant hoses -1, 3- and Hose Clamps - Up to 25 mm 3094 from the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and then remove the bracket.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- to remove the coolant hoses.

Audi RS6/RS7:

-- Remove the front bumper cover end plate, refer to FRONT BUMPER .

-- Drain the coolant, refer to Draining .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the nut -arrow- and free up the coolant line -3-.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Clamp off the coolant hose -1- with the Hose Clamp - Up To 25 mm 3094.

-- Remove the nuts -4-.

NOTE: Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Loosen hose clamp -3-, remove the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188- from the coolant hoses.
