Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With A Turbocharger: Removing

NOTE:

Follow all the rules of cleanliness, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the bumper cover end plate, refer to FRONT BUMPER Front Bumper .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover, refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING Front Bumper .

-- Remove the left and right air intake grille, refer to Front Bumper .

WARNING:

There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.

Disconnect the connectors before working near the fan shroud.

-- Unclip the air guides -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the air guide hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Remove the air guide hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -1-.

-- Push the lock downward -arrow A- and move the charge air cooler upward slightly in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the charge air cooler upward and remove it.
