Air Intake Manifold, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Note the general information, refer to GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ADJUSTMENT MOTORS .

-- Place the right front seat as far towards the rear as possible.

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the glove compartment, refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the footwell vent on the front passenger side, refer to Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent, Removing And Installing .

-- Remove the air duct for the glove compartment cooling for vehicles with the "Comfort" A/C system version, refer to Air Guide For Glove Compartment Cooling, Removing And Installing .

-- Loosen the quick release -2- with a screwdriver -1-.

-- Detach the cover -3- from the bracket -4- and remove it.

-- Disconnect the connector -C- from the fresh air blower -B-.

-- Disengage the bracket -A- and remove the acoustic cover -B-.

-- Mark the connectors -A, B- and the adjustment motors.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness -C- from the air intake housing -D-.

-- Remove bolts -A and B-.

-- Remove the bracket -C-.

-- Disconnect the connector -A- from the Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263- -B-.

-- Remove the bolt -A-.

-- Slide a screwdriver into the upper guide on the air intake housing until stop and release the retaining tab -B- -top arrow-, simultaneously pull the right air intake housing -E- to the right and down and disengage it on the air distribution housing -D- -bottom arrows-.

NOTE:

Do not let the air intake housing release. The air distribution housing and the air intake housing are secured with a bolt at the bolting point -C- next to the retaining tab.

-- Remove the dust and pollen filter, refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -A- from the bolting point -C- via the installation shaft for the dust and pollen filter -E-.
